PGE is slowly getting ready to launch a tender for the construction and financing of Poland’s first nuclear power plant. So far, the group has invited thirteen companies to take part in some initial talks but more firms might join this elite group soon. No details regarding potential participants of the nuclear program have been revealed, but the list of companies that are said to be involved in preliminary consultations includes such names as Westinghouse, GE Hitachi, Areva and EDF. The tender itself will be launched by the end of March, 2013. The first Polish nuclear power plant will be built by 2023 for some zł.35-55 billion.
