Orlen eyes filling stations in Germany

Poland's largest oil company PKN Orlen wants to buy gas stations in Germany, Michal Brylinski, CEO of Orlen Deutschland told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “Over the coming five years, we want to grow our network of gasoline stations under the Star brand from almost 570 to as many as 750,” he said. Orlen is especially focused on potential takeover targets in Bavaria, to complement its existing network in western, northern and eastern Germany, the paper said. Mr Brylinski said that the company is more likely to purchase independent stations rather than parts of larger networks.
