USTDA Supports Smart Grid Pilot Project in Turkey In order to meet the growing demand, a leading electricity distribution company in Turkey has developed a strategy for implementing smart grid technologies that can improve the efficiency of its network. To support this strategy, USTDA is sponsoring a project that will simultaneously demonstrate the PI system of OSIsoft, LLC (San Leandro, CA) and the Interactive Energy Platform (IEP) of Innovari Inc (Austin, Texas). Export-Import Bank Names Siemens Renewable Exporter of the Year The Export-Import Bank presented its Renewable Exporter of the Year award to Siemens Energy Inc. at the Bank's Annual Conference in Washington. Siemens was able to export wind turbines to Peru that were manufactured in Hutchinson, Kansas and Fort Madison, Iowa. [April 2015]
Clean Energy Finance Facility for Central America and the Caribbean The United States will launch a $20 million facility to encourage investment in clean energy projects. The facility will provide early-stage funding to catalyze greater private and public sector investment in clean energy projects. It will draw on the expertise of the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in coordination with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department of State.
