A delegation of senior officials from the Romanian water industry (Patronatul Apei, RAJA Constanta and Buzau Water Company) just returned from a visit to the United States. At the center of the agenda’s visit was the opportunity to meet directly with U.S. companies specialized in water and wastewater showcasing at the North America’s largest water trade show, WEFTEC. The show was held in New Orleans, between October 4-6, 2010. The delegation met with various U.S. vendors.
Another highlight of the agenda was a visit to Washington, D.C. where the delegation met with senior representatives of key governmental organizations, including the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (www.ustda.gov), EXIM Bank (www.exim.gov) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (www.trade.gov). At the USTDA headquarters, the delegation made presentations about future investment plans in the Romanian water sector. The briefing was followed by a roundtable with U.S. companies interested in the Romanian market.
The U.S. Commercial Service from the American Embassy in Bucharest organized the delegates' agenda and accompanied them to the U.S.
