On March 4, 2010 The U.S. Commercial Service of the American Embassy launched the "2010 Water and Energy Seminar" at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest. Continuing its program of introducing American technology to Romania’s water and energy utilities, the half-day event featured telecommunications company Motorola which discussed the applications of its SCADA technology (supervisory control and data acquisition) for power utilities, water and wastewater plants, and other critical infrastructure.
The event drew a large audience made up of water and energy utilities’ senior management, as well as specialized consulting and construction companies across Romania who came to learn more about Motorola’s latest SCADA and Wireless Broadband Advance Solutions from experts in Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions, a division of Motorola.
Motorola has been operating in Romania for over 20 years, and has a successful track record of implementing advanced integrated and interoperability radio telecommunication solutions in both the government and public safety sectors.
