In June 2011, the 130th Annual Conference & Exposition of the American Water Works Association was the major platform for showcasing the U.S. water and wastewater expertise to the Romanian industry. The water trade show took place in Washington, D.C. between June 12-14, 2011.
CS Romania recruited and led a delegation of 18 buyers to the show. The delegation included water utilities (Aquaserv, Buzau Water Company and RAJA Constana), private design, engineering and construction companies as well as local authorities. The delegation reported more than 50 meetings with specialized U.S. companies.
The delegation’s agenda included a courtesy call with H.E. Adrian Vierita, Ambassador of Romania to the United States.
Following the water trade show, the delegation headed to Boston where they had the opportunity to visit Coler Colerantonio’s headquarters. Coler & Colantonio, Inc. is an engineering firm based in Norwell, Massachusetts with expertise in the water and wastewater industry. The firm recently won a contract in Romania (e.g. provide engineering services for odor control to a wastewater plant).
The agenda in Boston also included a site visit to Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Facility and a half day seminar on U.S. technologies for small-scale wastewater plants.
