On July 8, 2011 RAJA Constanta, the second largest Romanian water and wastewater utility signed 4 contracts financed with European Union funds. The contracts are part of the “Rehabilitation and Modernization of the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in Constanta – Ialomita area” project. One of the 4 contracts was awarded to a consortium of companies that included the Massachusetts-based Coler & Colantonio, Inc. Under this contract, the U.S. company will provide a solution for odor control in a wastewater facility located in the proximity of a seaside resort.
The Signing Ceremony attracted a wide audience including local authorities, officials from the Ministry of Environment as well as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The U.S. Commercial Service attended the event. During the ceremony, the General Manager of RAJA Constanta thanked the U.S. Commercial Service for their continuous support in bringing U.S. expertise to the Romanian market.
