Visit to Malmesbury Solar Park

As part of CS Romania’s continuous efforts to showcase the U.S. technology and expertise in the field of renewables, a visit to Sunstroom’s solar park in U.K. was organized for one of CS Romania’s clients, ICCO. The visit was organized with the support of Iain Morrison, managing director of Sunstroom.

Sunstroom completed the construction and grid connection of a 5MW solar PV project near Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England. The park includes approximately 20,000 Helios solar panels. The project is located on a brown field site of approx. 36 acres. It was constructed in 5 weeks and became operational at the end of July this year.

The Romanian holding company ICCO, an authorized integrator of Motorola SCADA technologies is interested in developing a PV rooftop project using U.S. technologies. ICCO sought the assistance of the CS Romania for gaining access to multiple U.S. vendors of technologies as well as potential financing options.

One of the companies introduced to ICCO by CS Romania was the Wisconsin-based Helios Solar Works that manufactures high-performance mono-crystalline solar modules for solar electric systems. Doru Acsinte, Holding Vice President was very pleased to have visited the Sunstroom Park and to get positive appreciation of Helios solar panels.
