Black Sea Defense & Aerospace (BSDA) 2012

On May 16-18, 2012 CS Bucharest welcomed 25 U.S. firms, which exhibited in the DOC-certified USA pavilion during the 4th Edition of the Black Sea Defense and Aerospace (BSDA) International Trade Show, hosted at Romaero Bucharest. The event showcased 182 companies from more than 20 countries, which specialize in aerospace, defense, and homeland security. The ribbon cutting ceremony featured the Deputy Chief of Mission of the American Embassy to Romania, together with Romania's State Secretaries for Armament Department (Ministry of Defense), Defense Industry (Ministry of Economy) and Homeland Security and Public Order (Ministry of Interior).

21 official delegations from: Algeria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Libya, Liban, Egypt, Iordania, UAE, Israel, US, France, Austria, Pakistan, Oman, Thailand, Turkey, Iraq, Moldova, and Canada, visited the show.

CS Bucharest hosted high-level official visits of the US Pavilion, arranging on the spot one-on-one meetings for the US firms and conducting Gold Key Matchmaking and Business Facilitation Services for some others. 90 percent of the exhibitors polled reported that they were "extremely pleased" with the organization of this event and plan to return to Romania to continue discussions or explore new business opportunities.

The list of 25 U.S. firms includes names such as: AECOM, Alien Vault, Aware, Communications-Applied Technology, EPS Corp, ESI, Flir, Fortinet, Glomex Military Supplies, Harris RF, JEEP, KVH, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, NewCon, Polycom, Rapiscan, Small Arms, Thales Communications Inc.Trimble and TwistedPair.
