Oana Lupu

The CS Bucharest Internship program kicked off on June 5, 2006 with our first intern, Oana Lupu, a sophomore at Georgetown University:

“Interning at CS Bucharest has been a tremendously rewarding experience for me, during which I have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful team of extremely dedicated and personable professionals.

Although my internship only lasted a month, I had the chance to help out with various projects and learn about different aspects of international trade. Some of the projects I worked on include writing a customized market research report, and drafting a SWOT analysis in response to an inquiry from a US company thinking of entering the Romanian market. I also assisted with the writing of a market research report about the Romanian Telecommunications market, from which I learned about market demand and trends, market entry procedures and barriers, trade events in the field etc.

Overall, I truly enjoyed my internship, and would recommend it to anyone interested in international business, marketing, economics, or foreign affairs, as it is an excellent opportunity to become part of a team and gain valuable experience in these fields.”

After interning with CS Bucharest, Oana spent the next summer doing a finance internship at a hotel chain in Spain. She worked in the expansion department, where she modeled financial projections that the company used to determine the profitability of acquiring different hotels.

"Interning in Spain was an invaluable working experience which allowed me to learn more about finance, as well as about the Spanish language and culture. Working at CS Bucharest provided me with a strong foundation and helped me succeed at my next internship. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the CS Bucharest Team!"
