Preliminary Market Assessment

The Preliminary Market Assessment (PMA) – is usually the first-step to determine whether or not there is a market for your company’s products and whether the Commercial Service’s primary market entry service, the Gold Key Service (GKS) will be successful. The PMA report will contain specific market segment information as well as feedback from 5-10 potential Russian partners. This feedback will help determine the potential of developing a successful partnership with Russian firms.

If the results of the PMA are positive and you would like to come to Russia to have a series of meetings, then a Gold Key Service (GKS) is arranged. The PMA cost is credited to the GKS fee if the company executes the service within 3 months of the completing of the PMA – the time period when leads remain current and active. (Fees for the follow-on GKS: $300 for SME; $1,200 for large company).

The cost structure for the Preliminary-Market Assessment is:

SME Company*

SME New-to-Export Companies using Service for first time

Large Company*

Pre-Service Market Assessment

(Follow-on Gold Key Service)

*A Small or Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) is defined as a firm with 500 or fewer employees or self-certified as a small business under SBA regulations. A large company is defined as a firm with more than 500 employees. Subsidiaries will be classified based on the size of the parent company.
