On Friday, April 15, CS Korea organized a reception at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in honor of GE’s 40th Anniversary in South Korea. GE’s Global Chairman and CEO, Jeffrey Immelt, was the guest of honor. GE opened its first office in Korea back in 1976. Four decades later, there are at least nine offices spread throughout the peninsula, employing over 1,400 Koreans, generating nearly $2 billion in annual revenue.
Approximately 100 high-level guests attended the reception, including the Minister of Trade, Industry & Energy and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. The majority of guests were executives of customers whom GE Korea serves (i.e. engineering, healthcare, and energy)
