Fifty Plates, Fifty States

Good food is important to Korean travelers. Information about American cuisine is sparse in Korea. So, the Commercial Service in Korea is organizing two events to promote culinary tourism in the United States.

The first event will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Local representatives of U.S. visitors’ bureaus will provide product training to Korean travel operators and travel media, highlighting the culinary attractions for their destinations. The second event will be hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Seoul’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. A social media competition will start from October 31 and run through January 2013.
