Business Mission to Yangon and Naypyidaw, Myanmar, Feb 24-28, 2013

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is organizing a business mission to Yangon and Naypyidaw, Myanmar. The delegation will seek meetings with the U.S. Embassy and Myanmar’s key government officials to assess the business climate in Myanmar and discuss the challenges to the full normalization of economic relations. U.S. MYANMAR TRADE AND INVESTMENT RELATIONS: THEY WAY FORWARD

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are organizing a conference to bring together senior business executives and government officials from both countries to identify Myanmar's economic development priorities and objectives, explore opportunities for expanding U.S.-Myanmar trade and investment across a range of key industry sectors, and build business partnerships.

Participants will include leading Myanmar business executives, U.S. executives participating in a U.S. Chamber of Commerce business mission to Myanmar, other U.S. executives from around the ASEAN region, government officials from both countries, development specialists, academics, and others.

The AMCHAM Thailand Myanmar Task Force will be hosting a networking reception following the seminar. Chevron has graciously agreed to sponsor this event. More details will be forthcoming.

There is a U.S.$50 fee to attend the conference.  This is payable at entry.  You may register to attend on the AMCHAM website. If you require a letter for a visa, please register prior to February 15th. Contact Khun Sheree at Sheree@amchamthailand.com for obtaining a visa letter.
