International Buyer Programs
The International Buyer Program (IBP) helps U.S. trade show organizers promote their domestic shows through U.S. Commercial Service located at embassies and consulates overseas. The program has obvious benefits for the U.S. companies that exhibit at these U.S.-based trade shows because they can promote their products and/or services to foreign buyers without having to travel overseas. Instead, promotion by the U.S. Commercial Service in countries like Thailand ensures the attendance of prospective overseas buyers interested in purchasing or representing American goods and services. International attendees are welcomed, given a show overview, counseled with matchmaking tools to help them achieve their business objectives, introduced to U.S. exhibitors and given full use of an international business center at these events.
