The U.S. Commercial Service in Belgrade reports significant interest by U.S. companies in Serbia’s IT, software and services industries. Recently, U.S. companies such as Microsoft, HP, Oracle, and NCR increased their sales and services operations in Serbia due to the expanded support from the Serbian Government to enhance the country’s e-government and IT infrastructure systems.
To further deepen U.S. exports in these sectors, U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby will travel with Serbian Prime Minister Dacic to the United States in May as part of the U.S.-Serbia IT Mission that is dedicated to expanding U.S.-Serbia bilateral trade, investment and cooperation in these important sectors.
The rebranding of Serbia as a destination for U.S. exports and for IT and software development is an important part of this visit. American IT and software development companies are encouraged to attend and tap into these upcoming opportunities in Serbia.
